LED POWER

I've got my nifty LED light in the background. Actualy it looks even cooler than it does in the picture. It has a remote control that will change colors, program color changes, dim and other stuff I haven't figured out yet. You can get one at http://www.ledpower.com/Posted by Picasa

Stands

I veneer the center section of the stands then add the tops and bottoms. I do this to get a decent edge between the two. I use the Duplicolor spray-on truckbed liner for the tops and bottoms giving them a matte black textured finish. The veneer will get a medium stain and polyureathane that will match the speakers.Posted by Hello

RS Modula MT, how they sound

In my opinion they sound just like the picture :) AWESOME.

I've been listening to them this weekend, and then some. Jazz, Rock, Classical. It's like there is no speaker at all, only music.

Big thanks to Jon Marsh, Darren, PE and everyone who answers my lame questions.

Now it's time for the veneer.

Ok, so I'm getting excited and taking too many pictures.... Posted by Hello

Here's the front of the baffle, both drivers are recessed. Having an extra piece of MDF to practice on was important. Posted by Hello

Heres the back of the baffle, I slihgtly rounded over behind the woofer. Posted by Hello

Here's how the tweeter is packaged, very nice the gorillas at UPS should have to work awefull hard to mess these up. Posted by Hello

I thought some mighty be interested in how these are packaged. I thought they did a pretty good job the rim of the speaker did break through the side of the box just a little, durring shipping but everything seems ok... Posted by Hello

RS Modula MT Box and stand progress

Now things are taking shape :) You can see my bracing, baffle lay-out. The matching stands are even coming together. The bracing looks a bit odd but seemed effective. I think that should leave room for the crossover on the bottom, I'd be to chicken to put it on the back for fear it would fall off.....

The parts will be here on Monday. Please Mr. Brown be nice to my package.Posted by Hello

Progress on the RS Modula MT

I got the baffle measurements from Jon and drew it out on the baffle cause I'm getting excited :) It looks like the tweeter would touch the woofer so I'll probably back off just a bit so I don't blow out that little piece....

>>>The tweeter center if 4.5" from the top, offset 1" from the center (for the EM; the Modula is offset 3/4" ).
Woofer is centered laterally; center is up 7" from bottom edge. <<<<

Boxes for the RS MT project

I'm going to be building my own box for this project and modeling it after the .75 Parts express pre fabricated boxes found >here<

The finished product should look like my finished "More-Pee's" I suppose thats not too exciting, but I want something that blends with the living room...
